Sweeping out the winter blahs
Lately, when it comes to blogging, I've been feeling a little, well, bored. I have stuff I could write about, and some pictures that may or may not go with them, but I just haven't really felt like it. You may have noticed that my posts have been less frequent, my pictures less interesting. What's a blogger girl to do?
I considered taking time off from the blog, but that didn't seem like quite the right solution. I could see myself not wanting to take it back up, and when my days are filled with all things baby and toddler, it is nice to have the space to come to and write, even if what I'm writing about is sometimes all things baby and toddler.
Instead, I've decided to go the other direction, with more blogging, not less (you are welcome, Mom). I will be participating in the A to Z Blogging Challenge. You can read more about it here, but basically, the idea is to write a post every day in April (except Sundays), making your way through the alphabet. Apparently some people do a theme, and I am interested to see what other bloggers do, but I plan on treating my challenge kind of like Five Minute Friday, but choosing the topics myself. The post will be mostly just me, writing for five or ten minutes. I feel like my writing muscles are getting a little bit atrophied, and need a good month-long workout.
Because I want to be excited about this and not stressed, I am not going to attempt to accompany each post with an appropriate picture. Fear not, though. You, dear readers, need not go without pictures of my darling children for a whole month. Instead, I will post a separate "picture of the day" each day, in the spirit of Friday's usual "this moment". I will also link to any new Endless Simmer posts that go up.
Whew. That seems like a lot, but I am really looking forward to it. Think of it as a little blog spring cleaning on my part, letting the fresh air of April work it's magic around here. I will see you here tomorrow for "this moment", and then, Monday it's away we go. Wish me luck!
