Vidi-o the Week: Next to Me (Includes revised lyrics!)

These days, Elijah and I have a new favorite song, which I am sure he will like even more once he sees that the video features a drummer man.  The song is "Next to Me" by Emeli Sandé.  Have you heard it?  If not, you need to, so I have helpfully included the video below.

Listening to this song 15,000 times or so in the past few weeks got me thinking about Elijah, and how he is basically always, ahem, next to me.  So I wrote my own lyrics. Enjoy!

"Next to Me - Mommy Edition"

When I wake in the morning at 530,
And I want to nurse my coffee cup in peace;
When I wish that I could sleep just one more hour,
You will find, you will find him next to me.

When I really, really need to use the bathroom,
And all I want's a little privacy,
But like a fool I left the door cracked open,
You will find, you will find him next to me.

Next to me ooooh (3x)
You will find, you will find him next to me.

When the afternoon is dragging on forever,
And my glasses are so smudgy I can't see;
When I just need twenty minutes to fix dinner,
You will find, you will find him next to me.

When I need to feed the baby by her lonesome,
And I'm wondering why we don't have a TV;
When he can't wait just ten minutes until snack time,
You will find him, you'll find him next to me.

Next to me ooooh (3x)

You will find, you will find him next to me.

But I know these toddler years won't last forever,
And before long I will have to set him free.
So as long as he will let me hold him closely,
You will find, you will find him next me.

Next to me ooooh (3x)

You will find, you will find him next to me.

  2. It might appear strange, however the facts are thatare approved for the
    foundation other aspects from the application, rather than solely
    the loan score the applicant has not fake but,
    could it be true how the turkish house loan market was put aside because there was
    no concrete mortgage regulations within the place.
